People who help us
This week we have been learning all about people who help us in the community. Some special visitors have been into our school to tell us all about their jobs and how they help people. We have been visited by two children's nurses and a police officer. We had lots of questions to ask and loved finding out about some of the equipment they used.
Washing our letters!
As we have started to learn some of our letters and sounds, we have been practising them in a range of different ways. Our favourite way has been washing them off our large black board outside. We have to stretch up really high to reach some of the letters!
Exploring our School
This week we have been exploring and finding out more about our school. We have ventured out of our Year R area and went to visit lots of different places around the school such as the office, seeing Tiddles the tortoise, finding the library and seeing where the other children in the school work. In our area we have been learning about how to build using our large construction area safely and have enjoyed working as a team to create large buildings.
Exploring our School
Starting School
In Year R we have been settling into our new school. We have been enjoying exploring all of our areas including our classrooms, the snack bar, our outdoor area and other places around the school such as the hall. We have been making lots of new friends and getting used to the rules and routines of our school.
